The History of Freemasonry
In 1807, the founder of Prince Hall Freemasonry, or Africa Lodge No. 1, Prince Hall passes away. On his gravestone reads, Here lies ye body of Prince Hall, first Grandmaster of the colored Grand Lodge in Massachusetts. Died December 7th, 1807. Now at this time, Freemasonry was exploding in the United States. It's said by some historians that about one-tenth of the American population of males were associated with different Masonic lodges around the country. That's absolutely incredible.
