How to Limit Sound in a Recording Studio

The quality of the sound can depend very greatly depending on the material that the room is built out of or treated with. A really hard material is going to bounce a lot more sound back at you, which is why if you are in a large room with a lot of hard surfaces, you get that echo sound. Or if you're out someplace like at a canyon and you do a shout andyou get that echo back, it's because the sound is going out, hitting the walls of the canyon, bouncing back to you. And that's when you get to experience that effect.
