The Importance of Type Information in Programming

There's a lot of fundamental theory in here that we just haven't given enough energy to because we were busy solving so many other problems. But you know what, I wonder if this could be one of those things that justifies a new language at some point in the term. There was something, there's definitely something useful and innovative there, but there's all sorts of trade offs to that as then you have to generate code.
