The Effects of the Environment on Plasticity

The range of phenotypes that is possible can vary over time, dependent on the environment. So sometimes it's very easy for populations to become carnivores other times they barely exhibit the carnivore morph at all. The plasticity set the parameters for what's possible and then that's been shaped in different descendant lineages.
