The Butter Cow at the Iowa State Fair
It's been a tradition at the fair since 19 11, and started as a promotion for the dairy industry. The butter cow became an icon unto itself. Ask lifelong fair goers like john gaphne, and they'll recall sculptured fingers past. That secondary sculpture is a scene from the music man.
