Matt Welch: Jeff Girth says the two most inflammatory slogans, commandeered by Trump in this conflict were fake news and the news media as quote, the enemy of the American people. The idea that the media were quote, enemies of theAmerican people was voiced only once, just before the election, on an obscure podcast and not by Trump, according to a nexus search. It's pretty interesting that I presume that Trump then took a hold of enemies of the people, but that thing was not something that was being said commonly before the election.
