How Do Satellites Help Measuring the Weather?

80% of weather forecast accuracy is driven by data from satellites. Weather can move hundreds of miles in just a few hours. Radio frequency based electromagnetic waves bend, just like light bends as it goes through water or going through glass prism. And we can measure that bending as that r r f signal goes through the atmosphere. The amount it bends is driven by things like the temperature, the pressure and the moisture.
