Oneness in John's Writings
The right concept for thinking about union in John's writings is oneness. Jesus not only says, I am the father of one, he also says, I'm either son, I'm in the father and the father is in me. That's kind of like what oneness means in the gospel. It's that it's equivalent to that in one another relationship.
