What Happens to Death Rates When Doctors Go on Strike?
When doctors stop working, the available studies show that undertakers, morticians have less work to do. There was one in 1973 when anesthesiologists went on strike because they wanted to make more money. During the strike, the county corner death rates went down. And after the strike, they went up past previous levels to make up for lost surgery deaths.
