Do We Need Translators to Interpret the Prophecies?

Nostrodamus wrote the prophecies primarily french. That means we need translators to help us out. There are different translation philosophies, which can be more literal or more dynamic in how they render what nostro damas said. Both philosophies have advantages and disadvantages when trying to understand what an author means.
