Is the Freren Population Much Greater Than Some of the Populations of Other Planets?

Is the fremen population much greater than some of the populations of other planets? Cause i was cind av struck when they talk about that in the in the movie, about how, just how many people there are living on this planet that you just don't know about. Rite tens of thousands of people underneath the surface of this place. That's one of the things that we've talked about as being especially kind of at heart of Star Wars.
