How to Find a Heart Rate That's Right for You
A 60 minute power test will probably put the athlete pretty close to 90% of heart rate peak, you know, in that 87 to 92, 3 range. The average will end up being probably 88 or something. And I tend to look for a point where the heart rate is fairly level. If somebody does a test and their heart rate is rising the entire time, that to me tells me they were actually a little over their threshold,. A little over LT2 and that's too high a heart rate.
