Getting Into the Computer Science Field
Most people I see getting into the field spend way too long reading papers and trying to build a broad base. Code fast, code early, try to build practical knowledge as well as theory is some of the most common advice I get from new computer science students. And again, one of the things that's really nice about meckin' tup is there's lots of small bite-sized problems. Just trying to do something is one of the best ways to get grounding and get started.
