The Irony of Darwinism
The scientific establishment today is as high bound in their ideology that they're not even willing to be slightly open to the possibility that there might be an intelligent force. Many scientists, I think, have had a difficulty distinguishing what you might call materialistic philosophy from the enterprise of science itself. So if you have a theory that has non-materialistic implications, or which challenges a theory that does have decidedly materialistic implications, there's an implied threat to a deeper worldview or metaphysical understanding of reality.
