Roberta Dan's son Emile was blindfolded and then Jean Eugene would hold up items that he had received from the audience. The boy would state what they were without having seen them. Houdini credits this act with being the one that really started his constant sellouts. Many who have studied Robero Dan's work including Houdini believe that there was some sort of silent code like an electric signal that Robero Dan used as well as verbal cues that he gave during his presentation.
