I don't think I've ever seen a patient with a suspected neck of femme fracture brought in splinted. That's because by the time you see them, the nursing staff have already been to them Simon and sorted them out. So I really do think that we need to try to immobilize the site. And there you touched on extrication, which is my final little section to talk about. If at all possible, we should be using a scoop stretcher to get them out and not a carriage air. We really don't want to be sitting these patients on the fracture site.
