How Much Do You Need to Know About Your 300 Pages?

How much do you need to know about what's happening in your 300 pages before you sit down and write the first one? I prefer not to know at all. So i think it's better for me not to know where it's going. When you're writing a novel like this, tha, is, it's all about the present day. There's somewhat about searching for the meaning of life in there. It's quite easy to fall into cliche with the type of characters you're writing. And we need those to be authentic, to keep us going.
