We Live in Suburbs of the Galaxy

Humans have done an incredible job on from our little perch here in this little rock floating in a corner of the milkyway. We've been able to look out into the universe, peer at incredible things happening, and even deep within galaxies. But there still a very big mystery right here in the middle of our own neighborhood. That's why we sort of live in suburbia in our galaxy. If we were closer to the centre of the galaxy, there'd be ably intense radiation,. so life as we know it would be pretty different.
