Rep. Ilhan Omar was booted from a seat on the foreign affairs committee over past remarks condemned as anti Semitic. She has apologized, even signing on to a resolution recognizing Israel as a legitimate U.S. ally. But Speaker Kevin McCarthy claims this is different since Omar can serve on other committees, just not foreign affairs. Democrats say the vote was an act of pure political vengeance.
