I think very often the way we respond to neoliberalism is to react to what has happened. We don't like increased managerialism in the institution, for example. What we might also want to do is start enunciating or fleshing out the vision of the university and putting things into place that help realize that. To me, it's not the individuals, but it's actually the institutional relations that have to change.
