Socrates and the Ethics of Rhetoric

Each of socrates interlocutors explains what rhetoric is in ways that make it an ethically significant practice. Socrates admires people who have this power and think they're going to live the good life. There's a relationship between extended rhetorical speech making which shows no regard for truth and aims to dominate others, and an ethical outlook focused on power. How we talk to one another matters as much as how we say it.
