You Can't Get Away From Prague Rock

For a while after Bartok died in 1945, he was considered more or less a dead end. People who came after him felt that too much of his style was rooted in the past and it wasn't relevant anymore. His synthesis-centric approach to composition became the primary model for later composers. Later pop music wouldn't go out of the way to write music exactly like Prague Rock, but elements of 70s Prague Rock are everywhere now. They've made their way everywhere from mainstream artists like Radiohead to video game soundtracks. You just, you can't get away from Prague Rock. It's been very influential after all,. even after so many people tried to stomp it out.
