The DSM Three and PTSD

With the DSM three, it's right when the Vietnam war has refocused attention on post combat stress disorders. The way that the DSM three defined trauma was an event outside the range of the usual human experience that would be markedly distressing to almost anyone. This like idea that there is something called a normal human reaction. And that normal range of experiences, which is obviously we know like white supremacy and heteropatriarchy are somehow supposed to be a collectively non traumatizing experience.
