Transformative Experiences - Is Unity Good or Bad?

I think I've heard some people talk about, and like on like podcasts or whatever, whether or not it'd be ethical to commit your any to a life of servitude. And that seems like as you're saying obviously wrong. Because not only are people different in that terms but there's an important fact about transformative experiences that they transform your values. So how do you make good decisions about them beforehand? Like having a kid right changes you in a really important way that you couldn't have predicted beforehand.
