The Negative Effects of Investor Positioning on Aggregated Bases
Investor positioning and equities is only in the 18 percentile of data going all the way back to 1998. And that's actually lower than it was at the lows of October, which means investors have gotten more bearish since October. So what we've seen here is that there are the institutional investor community has broadly sort of fought this tape. We were extremely on the other side of that expectation since getting back to last fall. Investors have been wrong footed in terms of expecting their recession to materialize in the very near term.
