The Pressure to Deliver What the People Want

A lot of times pastors say, What do you want? Oh, I want a biblically faithful church that loves the word. And if you get that, I mean, praise God. But here's a side note. If you get that church, they expect you to bring it every week. You feel the pressure not just wanting to honor the Lord, honor the Word and preach Christ faithfully, but also delivering what the people are wanting. To do that well means every week doing preparation, it means you start from scratch. It's like cooking for a banquet or something.
