The Beauty of Art Fairs
When I think about that question, I think about Rodney King. As a young artist, just completing graduate school, taking a teaching position at the Art Institute of Chicago. And then when that happened in 92, my conscious was reawakened. Like I've had no other practice but a social practice now and I'm interested in. But if I did not have to deal with those sort of reoccurring experiences, what would I be making? Who would I be as an artist?
