Sleep is actually just add more to the sleep problems. I restrict all napping because if you're having insomnia, there's no reason you need to be taking a nap. A lot of patients self medicate and they'll take more than they're supposed to take. They also have a hangover effect the next day. It's better to treat the cause versus just giving them a sleep aid.
