The bombing of coventry by the luftwafe in world war two was nearly thwarted. A genius, this 28 year old oxford piged student called r v jones realized that the germans were broadcasting beams of 15 hundred hurts across the channel. So he made a british counter beam at the same frequency and they didn't even hear it. He said whoever got that frequency wrong should have been shot but i don't know whether we've got an example.
