Is It Safe to Eat a Vaccinated Chicken?
At the moment, it's not being transmitted mammal to mammal. The EU is going to make a decision in about two weeks time whether or not they're going to introduce a block wide program. Mexico rolled out emergency vaccinations and Ecuador after the death of a nine year old girl who had caught the virus. They're rolling out theirs. The US is holding out. And the reason that countries won't vaccinate straight away is because there are lots of controls over the export and import of vaccinated meat. Brazil is the world's largest poultry exporter. This is why the fact it's hit Latin America is now quite scary.
