How Do You Measure Deceleration Loading Rates?

We use a force plate for our measurements. When we look at deceleration, that's kind of that heel strike motion. So when you first impact the ground, what's that peak force that you're hitting the ground? And we always want that number to be really low. Usually if it's a lower number, it means it's softer or better cushioning.
