Donuts Are Hot, I Said
The pool had indeed been cancelled for the afternoon and kids were streaming in excitedly, dressed in snow suits. We sold cup after cup of hot chocolate topped with mini marshmallows as well as all of the doughnuts plus about half of the cookies. My secret ingredient was a bit of tahini and it gave the drink a richness that my customers craved but could never quite identify.
