The Role of ACE Inhibitors in Angiodema

ACE inhibitors are a well-known cause, but it's the reason why that's interesting. ACE is responsible for what? You guessed it. It's a degradation or breakdown of that bradykinin. And guess what? Our old emergency department favourite, TPA, is a cause of angiodema. I've seen this recently actually. Another exceptional reason not to thrombolyze our patients with stroke then.
