The Role of ACE Inhibitors in Angiodema
ACE inhibitors are a well-known cause, but it's the reason why that's interesting. ACE is responsible for what? You guessed it. It's a degradation or breakdown of that bradykinin. And guess what? Our old emergency department favourite, TPA, is a cause of angiodema. I've seen this recently actually. Another exceptional reason not to thrombolyze our patients with stroke then. Don't take us down the stroke rambolitis line every time we press play on a podcast.
