People with complex drama tend to have protective parts that develop very precociously. Their experience of authority figures and grown ups is that they basically have no interest in your needs or feelings as a child. So when they come to you, ah, they are going to see you as a threat,. They have no confidence that you're going to be acting in their best interests because that isn't their experience of authority Figures.
