The Importance of Narrative in Doctrinal Studies

One of the underlying themes that we had for the, the master's program was trying to relate this back to doctrine in some way or another. The biggest kind of driving factor that got me into this whole discussion on narrative was one of my mentors, Colonel Elizabeth Matthias. And she did her Jaws paper on the need to define narrative and joint doctrine. But as I really dove into the topic, the thing that I found from a narrative as a cognitive process perspective was this need to define a lingering emotional state.
