Melanie Bishop is an associate professor of biological studies at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. She's co-founder of Living Seawalls which revised marine life along sea walls. Sea walls are hard structures that run parallel to the shoreline and can stretch for tens or even hundreds of kilometers. The marine industry depends on them but coastal erosion is also driving demand.
