How to Push Through the Bible's Confusion

As a parent I would immediately follow up and go well help me understand what are you talking about. A kid who just goes the Bible is confusing is just emotionally saying I don't like this it's not fun right so as a parent I'm going how do we push through that to identify a real problem.
