Purgatory - A Place of Purification
In purgatory, all the impurities of one's life are kind of burned away. It's in purgatory that we're purified of the effects of those past acts a which have kind of ma perverted our desire,. And it's a way by which of rectifying what has been perverted and of enlivening what has been deadened. So this is a common way to describe the whole spiritual life, the whole life of sanctification as a progressive movement by which one is made like god.
