The Proposal to Scrub the World Records of Athletics

Athletics is considering scrubbing the record books of any world records that were set before 2005. The rules are a such for world records to be recognized, it has to have been achieved at an approved event. Since then they've had these more stringent requirements. So I think for like the integrity of the sport, because some of some of these world records still stand.
