Greenfield interviewed people at the fda who had been involved in the investigation back in the 1940s were still alive he could interview quite a few of them. If you look into fda files and i've only done the first pass on ryke case so far it's clear from the outset that they thought what they were doing here was busting some kind of sex racket, Greenfield says.
