How do you distinguish between your own internal authority, which is clearly a healthy i no, self protectivea presence, and ego? Yeh, it's a really great question you're asking. The shadow was the hierarchical structure will get in the way of me recognizing authority of the heart. And i didn't step into what i call true authority until i'm a darma teacher,. to day i teach in such a different way from my teachers. I teach on the topic of exploring shared power, instead of power ovr in almost everything we do. So that's part of the light of monastic training.
