An Introduction to the Genealogy of Trauma

In terms of theory, I mean a couple of things one, this is a story that you're quite familiar with. There's an enormous and important literature on infrastructure and urban studies particularly in South Asia. In terms of medical anthropology, I kind of just turned to it a little bit on having the sub discipline oriented towards movement, rather than static properties was something of interest to me. And I was really deeply influenced by the work of Lauren Berlin, who, to me, really challenged me to think about how people build social infrastructures and moments of crisis.
