I think people are afraid to say anything because they just want to protect their access to that person, which I also think is very, very dangerous. You're not going to open up to that person when they draw a line about your relationship. And so if you overstep and do too much and make them feel alienated from you even more it makes them feel like, oh, that person doesn't support my relationship. If they don't have other options, somebody who's a supporter outside of that relationship then they're definitely not leaving the relationship.
