The Divide Between Knowledge and Skills in Chess

As an adult, I think the ability to increase your chess knowledge is unequivocally still there. But chess is ultimately a game about decision making and sorry to report, but about sort of consistency of cognitive processing. And certainly as an adult with some wisdom and some self-awareness, you can work on training those things - it's always a challenge.
