Is Trump's Racism Driving the Word for Trump?
A recent study in the National Academy of Sciences suggests that people are driven not by racism per se but by social dominance orientation like they want to dominate other groups. The paper was explicitly using a metric like how do you feel about trade of China to dismiss the idea that economic considerations were part of what drove the word for Trump. To look at that question as the thing that decides that seems sort of very, very odd.
