How Did You Learn Spanish and German?

In high school, you studied esperanto and then latin in university. Then went on an exchange programme to germany for a year. That's when you started exploring more exotic languages like phoenician and chinese. You were just kind of going into it for thekind of the exoticness of the languages,. exactlyandd as a kind of a challenge.
