The Silver Wings: A Wild Goose Chase
You see obsidian swoops low into the city. You spot three Silver Wing guards ready to ambush you, but also spot a teenaged cobalt with pierced wings and feathery black hair perched on the top of a building. He holds a finger up to her beak, pulls out a knife, then swoops down and stabs all three guards. As you walk along a road paved with these strange metallic corpses, the bodies all wriggle and convulse as if responding to your presence. These lost souls are now propelling you forward like a living conveyor belt. Eventually the soul street stops in front of a gorgeous crystal palace with a tall tower jutting from its center.
