Stephen's Prayer for God to Not Hold This Sin Against Him
The Christian hero of Christianity is the one who dies peacefully praying for their killers. Stephen believes that there, that God possesses the ability to not hold this sin against him. With his dying breaths, he's pleading on their behalf, on his killer's behalf. It's a remarkable thing. And yet it's not unique in the history of the church. There's countless stories like this of people that have been martyred throughout church history that have prayed for their captors or their killers forgiveness.
