The Importance of Gender Affirmation in Health Care
HHS Secretary Javier Becerra says he's tote's cool with defunding hospitals that won't do meatball surgery and chemical castration for minors in the name of gender. He was questioned by Congressman Jim Banks. This spring, HHS released a 112 page report claiming that social transition is appropriate and beneficial for gender minority children and adolescents. The report recommends cutting federal funds from states with policies that stigmatize transgender children.
