Did You Learn German to Write a Book on Hegel?
I don't think you even have to know German to understand Freud's German. It reads like an English speaker and writer. The only thing that he couldn't do is that whenever he'd say, he'd say like that chair over there, she's sitting very nice, he would gender the pronoun, but great. So it actually helps, I think, a lot to read Freud in the German.
